Impact of Industrialization in World War I
Industrialization influenced World War I by allowing for more advanced weapons to be made, as well as quicker production methods. Technology became much more advanced as a result of industrialization, which led to the development of much more deadly weapons. The deadly weapons could take out many soldiers, so to protect themselves from these weapons trench warfare was adapted. Stalemates occurred which led to a war of attrition. Industrialization led to the production of these deadly weapons which caused for WWI to become one of the deadliest wars that had taken place. Industrialization also led to Imperialism. Imperialism produced many rivalries as the fight for resources took place. Rivalries were a main cause of World War I and continued to impact the countries throughout the war. Industrialization allowed countries to fight a new kind of war, a much more deadlier type that had ever been fought in the past.
